We are having a "heat wave" this week, so Mommy and I decided to start the week off right with a trip to our nearest beach (Syracuse)! It was so hot, even Mommy got in the water! She took me out to the deep part and we worked on floating and kicking. I loved running and splashing in the water and, of course, playing in the sand!

I attempted to make my very first sand castle,

and tried drawing "O"s in the sand, just like I do with crayons at home.

We tried to get Daddy to stop and visit us on his lunch hour, but he was busy, so we called Maw Maw and she stopped by on her way to work - and she got in the water too! I did not want to go home when Mommy said it was time to leave, of course! Mommy made me take a shower with her when we got home because she said I was very SANDY! I was so tired, I got into my bed and laid down for a nap without being asked!
