August Wrap-Up!

 

Wow, August is almost over, and have I been busy! It's FINALLY not sweltering here in the Midwest, so I've been spending a lot of time outside! Yay!

My next-door-neighbor, Paizlee, turned 3, and she had a GIANT water slide in her backyard for her birthday!

I was not sure I wanted to go down the slide, even after watching all the other kids (including the birthday girl) zoom and splash! It was just SO big! So I just hung back with the grown-ups and ate pizza and cupcakes and watched the other kids.

Finally, Sophia (from down the street) convinced me to go down with her. It was fun! I screamed and closed my eyes, but then went down again! Whee!

Then I was back to my goofy self, putting an empty pinata on my head...

Mommy and I have gone to the beach a few times; once, we took Maw Maw with us. I love the waves at the beach, but the water can be so COLD! Brrr!

Mommy and I went to a "swap meet" in Wolf Lake, where Maw Maw and Grandpa Marko had set up a booth of antiques and artifacts. I "helped" Maw Maw "play store", and posed cutely for several photos - grandparents seem to ALWAYS take photos of you!

There were lots of animals for sale at the swap meet, like chickens, geese, rabbits, chinchillas, goats, alpacas, piglets, miniature donkeys and super cute ponies!

Mommy showed me how to hold my balled-up hand out for the ponies to sniff and lick, but ewwwwww, did their poop smell!

Oh yeah, and I got a cool new train/Lego table from my friends Henry and James, who moved to Canada and did not have enough room in the moving truck for it. Yay for me! I hope they get a new table when they move into their new house, cause this one is AWESOME!

 

I have also been super busy with playdates at the park, library visits, roasting marshmallows over our fire pit, helping in the garden, riding my bike, swimming and doing "crafts" with Mommy! I will be starting "junior" preschool next week, so stay tuned for LOTS of photos from that!
