Earlier this week, when it was sunny and hot, Mommy and I packed a "pick-nick" lunch and went to DeFries Garden. We ate way up in the sky, on top of the "summer pavilion" and then explored the grounds. We saw a turtle and some tadpoles swimming in the pond, and lots of pink water lillies.
I was very intrigued by the concrete toad...ribbit!
We checked on the snake gourd teepee's progress. We saw it earlier in the summer when it had just been planted, and man how it has grown! The snake gourds are gigantic!
I escaped the blazing sun by going inside the teepee and sipping on some pink "lemon juice" (lemonade).
We ended our outing by just sitting on the swing and taking in all the NATURE! I love going to the gardens, it's sooo interesting and sooo much fun!
The next day, however, I developed stomach flu and felt very, very bad. I threw up and had a fever (Mommy made me Pedialyte popsicles - nummy!) and spent the next two days in Mommy and Daddy's bed...
