A few days ago, it was 85 degrees at 4:00 in the afternoon, so Mommy and I headed out to the river preserve near our house - thinking it would be cooler there...it was shaded and damp, but not cool. We walked the trails and watched the strong current in the swollen river. We saw a lot of poison ivy, which was making Mommy freak out.  I ran and ran up and down the trails and drank all of Mommy's water. Daddy joined us when he got off work, and we "hiked" all the way back a path to see a waterfall. I was hot and tired and my cheeks were pink, so I sat down and whined that I wanted to go home a few times. Other than that, it was a fun time! There's sooooo much to see and do when it FINALLY stops raining in Indiana! Mommy said to enjoy it, before mosquito season begins!
