We have turtles! Or, rather, we WILL have turtles...once all the babies hatch! We had a BIG mommy snapping turtle out by our garden in our back yard. Daddy went to take pictures of her and got to see her lay eggs in a big hole she dug. Actually, she dug two holes, so there could be lots of babies! Daddy laid one of his shoes next to her to show how big she was - he wears a size 11, so the turtle was pretty big! Mommy is going to make some signs to put in the yard, so we know where the baby turtles are. The internet said it takes 9 to 18 weeks for the babies to hatch - I can't wait to see them!
